This Sunday, the 4th January 2015, is the 2nd Steady 50 Sunday ride. The Steady 50 sits somewhere between the Saturday Social rides and the Sunday Sport rides.
Expect an average speed of around 14-15mph (last one was closer to 14mph). No-one will get dropped and we’ll regroup at the top of hills and major junctions.
This month’s route is the classic, Halton Gill and back via Wigglesworth, bang-on 50 miles. 1 major climb, Halton Gill itself. Café stop at Bean Loved in Skipton after the ride.
Meet at 9am outside Dave Ferguson Cycles in Skipton.
Club meeting this Sunday, 14th December, 7.30PM at The Narrow Boat, Skipton.
Anything for the agenda, please send to Club Secretary, Simon Lerpiniere on simonlerp at gmail dot com before Friday the 12th December.
Should be a bit of a shorter, lighter agenda this month, so more time for drinking and chatting.
Look forward to seeing you all there.

Last order date is 31st October 2014 then order will be processed. There is a 6 week lead time and kit will be delivered to Fit for Purpose for collection.
Place your order and pay online through the Milltag SCC kit site.

Please see the brochure Milltag brochure for kit descriptions.
Ladies only ride on Sunday 19th October 2014
Claire is running a ladies only ride on Sunday 19th October. This is a social ride with a distance of no more than 25 miles at a pace determined by the group. There will be a cafe stop and chattering none stop!
For anyone new to SCC or wishing to dip their toe in the water and take that first ride this is the ideal opportunity for you. There will be no rush, no pressure, just great cycling to be had. For the more experienced riders, why not just come out and enjoy the all important cafe and cake stop with the girls.
We’ve tied up with Milltag to provide our new club kit. Giordana has been great, but the minimum order requirements and manual administration has led us to change. Milltag is setting us up a site to select and buy your kit (details coming soon). Kit will be stocked at Fit for purpose (thanks Christine) and pricing will be on a par with the old kit.
It’s got an updated design, including socks, cap, skinsuit, jacket and all the usuals. I hope you all like it.
This week’s ride leader is Steve Wilkinson.
3 routes will leave Skipton at 9:30am from Dave Ferguson’s bike shop.
There are 3 levels to choose from: Get back in the saddle (20), Social 30 and Social 50.
Bring your coffee money, put your helmet on and come and join us. If you have any questions, please ask.
We look forward to seeing you on Saturday!
